Hi, I’m Alyce — a photographer, a storyteller, and a mum of two little ones.

 

The Birthing Lens began not just as a business, but as a way to honour the moments that often go unseen — the quiet strength in labour, the softness of a newborn curled against your chest, the laughter of a child running barefoot, the beauty of becoming.

 

After the birth of my first child, I realised how quickly memories fade and how deeply I wished I had more photos that truly captured what that time felt like — not just what it looked like. 

 

I now specialise in natural, emotive photography for pregnancy, birth, newborns, families — and more recently, small businesses too. I love working with people who want something real: gentle images that reflect their story, their connection, and their strength.

 

I work mostly around Groningen and nearby areas, and I love shooting in natural light — whether we’re walking through a forest at golden hour or cuddled up in your home, I’ll guide you gently and quietly capture what matters most.
